Family Support Sessions:
Bringing loved ones into the healing process — when it matters most

Whether it’s a one-time check-in or something we revisit occasionally, Family Support Sessions are available to current individual clients who want to include a parent, sibling, or loved one in their therapy process. These sessions can open the door to better communication, mutual understanding, and stronger relationships — especially when there’s been disconnection, conflict, or cultural tension.
Why You Might Want a Family Support Session:
-
You still live at home and feel overwhelmed or emotionally stuck in the family dynamic
-
You’re navigating a cultural or generational gap with immigrant parents or caregivers
You’ve experienced difficult or painful family experiences that haven’t been openly acknowledged or processed
You want your family to better understand your mental health and emotional needs
-
You’ve grown in therapy and want your relationships to reflect that growth
-
You don’t live with your family anymore, but still care about the relationship and want to feel closer — not distant or estranged
-
These sessions are especially helpful for adult children of immigrant families, third-culture individuals, and anyone seeking to bridge long-standing gaps in communication, values, or emotional connection.
What These Sessions Offer:
-
A supported space to express what’s been hard to say
-
Help navigating emotionally loaded conversations with grounding support
-
Tools for clearer communication, emotional safety, and boundary-setting
-
A chance to process pain or misunderstandings while staying connected
These sessions are rooted in the work we’ve already been doing together and offer a powerful space to bring loved ones into that process. If deeper or ongoing family therapy feels appropriate, I can help connect you to a therapist who specializes in family systems work—so your individual therapy stays focused on you.

Important to Know Before Scheduling
These sessions are most helpful when the family member or loved one you invite is open and willing to participate in a respectful, growth-oriented conversation. This isn’t about convincing or fixing someone else—it’s about creating space for clarity, connection, and healing dialogue.
