welcome!

A trusted presence in creative trauma therapy across New York
hey there! I'm Attiya
I created this practice for people who carry a lot. Emotionally, mentally, or in the roles they take on. The clients I work with are highly capable and deeply insightful, but they’ve been navigating life without a clear roadmap. They’re often holding on to pain from the past, pushing through burnout, or quietly struggling with emotions that never had space to be processed.
As a millennial, first-generation clinician, and third culture kid, I know what it’s like to move through the world with layered expectations and no clear path for how to feel it all. This work is deeply personal to me. I offer the kind of care I once needed: creative, grounded, and deeply human.
this space is for you
The support you've been needing. The clarity you didn’t know you could have.
You’ve spent a long time keeping it together, showing up, and carrying more than most people realize. In this space, there’s no need to explain or perform. You can bring all of it: the strong parts, the exhausted parts, the parts that still have questions. This work creates space to understand yourself more deeply so you can move beyond coping and into real, lasting change.
Not just support. Direction and growth.
I won’t just sit back and nod. I’m present, engaged, and not afraid to challenge you with honesty and care. Clients often tell me, “I needed to hear that.” Our sessions are collaborative and grounded in real connection. I hold space for all of you: the capable parts, the tired parts, and the ones that have been carrying too much for too long.
I integrate EMDR, Art Therapy, and somatic tools. These approaches connect with different parts of your nervous system and emotions. They help us process what your body has been holding, explore patterns with curiosity, and build a stronger sense of clarity and direction.

I have felt truly listened to and understood.
I have seen a great positive change in myself that I never thought I would get to experience. I am extremely grateful. There is no judgment … and I feel a huge mental and emotional relief after finding a therapist to guide me in healing.
what they said

I have had many counselors before, but Attiya is different.
She is understanding and comforting. When I felt vulnerable, she was aware and took the time to help me cope. She has many methods of approaching problems that can be hard to discuss, making them easier to talk about, even during stressful times. She genuinely cares about her clients and would not hesitate to take her time outside therapy sessions to check on me.

Many of my clients have tried traditional therapy and are looking for something deeper, more integrated, and more affirming.
I continue to invest in training and consultation to offer care that is grounded, ethical, and deeply supportive. My approach centers your lived experience, your pace, and your goals.
